Clearwater Campus Resource Fair Benefits Students, Community
Ultimate Medical Academy’s Clearwater Campus hosted its annual Community Resource Fair on Thursday, May 30. With more than 25 Outreach Partners in attendance, there were plenty of services available to inform students and members of the community. Students and community members enjoyed meeting with the various agencies and exploring the resources that are available to them in Pinellas County.
For students and prospective students, working with the resources that are available is oftentimes the first step toward a better future—and accessing these resources can open up the opportunity to pursue career training. Through the Community Resource Fair and year-round through its robust student services, UMA links its students to community resources, which can improve quality of life and keep students on the path to a meaningful career.
Some of the agencies that attended the event were:
- Florida Licensing on Wheels, which assisted people with getting their licenses renewed without a trip to the Department of Motor Vehicles;
- Here We Grow Foundation Daycare, which has a diaper bank managed by UMA where people can arrange to pick up diapers at no cost; and
- Family Resources of Pinellas and Manatee County, which offers educational and other programming aimed at building and maintaining healthy family relationships
