Notification – Coagulopathy Associated with Synthetic Cannabinoids
The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention has issued an alert regarding a multistate outbreak of vitamin K-dependent antagonist coagulopathy associated with synthetic cannabinoids. The Florida Department of Health (hereby referred to as the Department) is notifying health care providers, medical examiners and laboratories about this alert because some of the cases associated with this outbreak have been identified in Florida. A letter from the Department has been attached with background information and current status of this outbreak, as well as recommendations to ensure appropriate detection, reporting, and follow-up of potential cases associated with this outbreak.
