Physician Referral
The Association office receives calls daily from members of the public wanting to be referred to physicians in a specific city or a particular specialty or subspecialty. We also distribute to the public, free of charge, the Pinellas County Medical Society's Membership Directory, which contains the names, addresses, phone numbers, and specialty of every Association member.
CPA
The PCMA has chosen Gregory, Sharer & Stuart as the Pinellas County Medical Association’s CPA. This is a significant change in that, the PCMA wanted a CPA firm that could not only offer specialized services to our non-profit board, but one who had the breadth and depth of experience to assist our physician members and their practices.
Workers’ Compensation Insurance
Program offered by CompOptions. Participating members are eligible for dividends, based exclusively on claims activity. Contact PCMA at (727) 541-1159.
Physician practices enrolled in our workers’ compensation program receive dividend checks representing a percentage of the premium dollars they spend on workers’ compensation insurance. In some instances those practices received checks totaling more than the cost of association dues.
Medical Malpractice Insurance Discounts
Discounts from Florida Doctors Insurance Company (FLDIC), PCMA’s preferred professional liability carrier. FLDIC.

HMO Settlement Assistance
Managed Care Advisory Group (MCAG), a national expert in providing MDL Settlement assistance to physicians, is working with PCMA member physician practices to file for and recover the maximum amount under the MDL Settlements that are currently pending.
If you are interested in participating in this Settlement, contact Jonathan Gadd, our representative from MCAG, at (800) 355-0466.
To date, these settlements have provided over $400 million in cash refunds to physician practices as well as landmark changes in reimbursement. Only 30% of physicians who are eligible for the settlements have filed for the money owed to them.
