Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital to Host Mental Health Symposium
As the nation deals with the aftermath of the recent Parkland school shooting, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital will host a mental health symposium on Monday, February 26. This free event is open to the community via an online RSVP form, and will be focused on helping parents and teens cope during this stressful time.
The Johns Hopkins All Children’s mental health care team and representatives from the hospital’s Adolescent Medicine practice will provide education and resources on numerous topics in an effort to assist our community with moving past the most recent act of school-based violence. In addition, we will have a panel of experts available to answer questions from the community and offer guidance.
WHAT: Mental Health Symposium for Parents and Teens (Free)
WHEN: Monday, February 26 from 5:30-8 p.m. (a light dinner is to be served at 5:30 p.m.; the program starts promptly at 6 p.m.)
WHERE: Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Education and Conference Center, 701 4th Street South in St. Petersburg
